A message from Jason Green, Operations Manager and Buyer:

My top priority as Buyer is to ensure my customers are getting a product of the highest available quality at an attractive price.
There are over a thousand licensed companies selling product to Washington state retailers, so my vetting standards are quite high.

When considering a company and their products, I first ask for multiple "rounds" of samples which are graded by the entire staff. After receiving feedback and getting a spirited "go ahead" from the team, I then assess the company's general attitude, commitment to quality, and environmental consciousness. I favor brands that have energy and resource conservation built into their ethos, as well as a strong discipline for quality.

This process is so stringent because we are loyal to our partners, some of which have been carried on our shelves since day one. I prefer to build long lasting partnerships rather than just sourcing the products with the highest profit margins and moving on to the next.
